Wrathion

P1

Tanks:

  • position the boss with his side to the raid -> to not get hit by Tail Swipe / Searing Breath
  • Searing Armor: tank swap at 2 – 3 stacks

Raid:

  • Incineration: move 20 – 30 yards away from the raid
  • Gale Blast: get 30 + yards away from the boss and spread 5 yards from allies
  • Burning Cataclysm: get to safe spot (always on the opposite of the room regarding encounter´s position)

P2

Raid:

  • Scales of Wrathion: 3 mobile players soaking ; to run asap through Crackling Shards afterwards
  • Crackling Shards: everyone should aoe them asap
  • Assassins: bring them out of stealth via AoE / stealth removal abilities and kill them off (HC only)

Maut

P1

Tanks:

  • Shadow Wounds: taunt off of one another when stacks reset (usually around 2 – 4)
  • Dark Manifestation: keep it at least 20 yards away from the boss at all times ; move the add into Devoured Abyss zone to interrupt Dark Offering cast

Raid:

  • Devour Magic: move away and spread when afflicted, but not too far
  • Stygian Annihilation: stand inside Devoured Abyss zone to avoid getting hit
  • Dark Manifestation: run against black hole pull-in and kill the add spawning asap
  • Black Wings: don´t get hit by this large knockback in a 40 yard cone (HC only)

P2

Raid:

  • stack next to the boss and nuke through his mana shield before he finishes his Obsidian Shatter cast
  • mobile dps: soak any mana orbs that travel towards the boss asap ; stand on the raid with the orb to spread Forbidden Mana buff
  • Drain Essence: players afflicted should move out of the raid asap to get dispelled (ticking damage but also Maut gaining 1% mana each second the debuff is active) (HC only)

Healers:

  • Drain Essence: only dispell afflicted players instantly if it feels comfortable, as this also means damage to the raid at all (HC only)

Prophet Skitra

General:

9 marks at all

Tanks:

  • Shadow Shock: taunt off of one another when debuff times out (usually around 4 – 6 stacks)

Raid:

  • stack up on one side of the boss and let Shred Psyche debuff expire on the other
  • Shredded Psyche: stay away from spawning add when it casts Psychic Outburst ; kill it off asap after
  • try to get into P2 with no add alive
  • Image of Absolution: stay out of their Surging Images aura ; you´re able to kill them off 30 seconds after spawning (HC only)
  • communicate with players with a different debuff type, to identify which boss illusion is shared between you
  • Dark Ritual: kill this boss illusion asap to reduce the amount of stacks
  • Illusionary Bolt: stack near the add you are killing, to allow healers to heal up against incoming damage

Dark Inquisitor Xanesh

Tanks:

  • Abyssal Strike: pay attention to not get knocked off the edge of the room ; taunt off of one another after each Abyssal Strike cast

Raid:

  • Torment: move out of the zones before they explode
  • Soul Flay: move away from your shadow soul when afflicted to reduce incoming damage
  • Void Ritual: 3 players have to soak the zones to become Voidwoken
  • Voidwoken: players need to bounce the Void Orb into the portal with the red outline to remove it safely
  • Void Orb: avoid having it touch the wall of the room, Azshara in the middle or any Ritual Obelisks
  • do not jump down the edge of the encounter space
  • Summon Ritual Obelisk: deal damage and slow players (HC only)
  • Imminent Doom: when a Voidwoken player comes into contact with a Void Orb, this means 1 stack ; for that, as a player you can only touch the Void Orb at max 4 times without having at least a 6 second gap between two of their hits ; important for groups playing it the solo strategy

Hivemind

Tanks:

  • Shadow Veil: both bosses to be tanked within 20 yards whilst Tek´ris has Hivemind control / 20 yards apart when Ka´zir has Hivemind control to avoid it from triggering
  • Nullification Blast: face Tek´ris away from others and sidestep it

Raid:

  • Dark Reconstitution: both bosses have to die within 10 seconds of each other to prevent it happening
  • Volatile Eruption: stack near the bosses or the adds to cleave them down asap ; focus down the empowered drone before it casts
  • Aquir Darter: nuke them down to reduce amount of Psionic Resonance casts ; you could also cc them to stack them up and keep them there
  • Echoing Void: spread 4+ yards when being cast
  • Spawn Acidic Aquir: stay away from the eggs and dodge the adds the role across the room when being cast
  • Mind-Numbing Nova: interrupt at all costs asap to avoid the 50% haste reduction it puts on the group
  • Devouring Frenzy: triggers each time the hivemind switches between bosses (damage every 0,5 seconds over 12 seconds to the entire raid) ; starting low but the damage increases by 15% each time it triggers ; healing cds should be up towards the end of the fight ; everyone should pay attention and use defensive cds if needed (HC only)
  • Acidic pools: high ticking damage to anyone standing in it ; despawning after approx. 1 minute (HC only)
  • Accelerated Evolution: the drone will be transformed into an Aquir Ravager ; this add has to die asap, while cleaving boss and small adds as well in melee range (HC only)
  • Volatile Eruption: focus down this huge add with 150% extra hp (immnue to cc) ; everyone should stand nearby ; should be bursted down when below 20% hp (HC only)

Shad´har the Insatiable

Tanks:

  • Crush / Dissolve: taunt off each other, so that one takes Crush and the other takes Dissolve ; randomized ; in a situation where tank has to take two Crush casts in a combo, a defensive cd should be up, but after that avoid tanking the boss until the debuff has timed out

Raid:

All phases

  • avoid standing with the water around the edge of the room
  • Living Miasma: players should move away 15 yards from their allies (as far as possible in HC mode due to the fact that now the entire raid gets damage)
  • Debilitating Spit: healers have to spot heal afflicted players
  • Breath: avoid getting hit when boss reaching 100 energy

P1

  • Umbral Eruption: spread loosely in the room and dodge the bolts ; the rate increases the longer the phase goes on

P2

  • Entropic Breath: spread loosely in the room to minimise players hit by instant cast
  • Entropic Buildup: several ranged dps should soak orbs spawning

P3

  • Bubbling Overflow: stack behind the boss at the edge of the encounter space to avoid ; for that, the boss and the entire raid have to move along the edge of the room each time new patches spawn ; do not stand in the path of the bosses movement ; do not stand prolonged periods of time in it, as damage ramping up every second
  • Frenzy: at 30% the boss enters it, which increases all damage done by 25%

Drest´agath

Tanks:

  • Volatile Seed: should taunt after each cast and let the debuff expire on adds
  • Void Grip: make sure that one tank is always within meele range of the boss to prevent it from triggering

Raid:

Drest´agath

  • Void Infused Ichor: pick up these orbs from dead adds to deal damage that bypasses the bosses Aberrant Regeneration
  • Volatile Seed: move away from tanks when they are afflicted
  • move away from enemies casting Entropic Crush
  • Void Glare: quickly identify the direction of the beam and move out of it
  • Mutterings of Insanity: quickly move away from your allies when afflicted
  • always kill adds before switching to the boss

Appendages Adds

  • Crushing Slam: move out of the zone when fighting the Tentacle of Drest´agath (melee should prioritize this add)
  • Reality Tear: avoid the zone traveling out from the tentacle during Throes of Agony
  • Acid Splash: spread 4 yards to avoid the splash damage when fighting Maw of Drest´agath adds
  • Spine Erruption: dodge the rings around the maw during Throes of Agony
  • Mind Flay: interrupt it and dodge the Falling Gore swirlies when fighting the Eye of Drest´agath adds
  • Umbral Aversion: 1 minute cd which prevents you from gaining Void Infused Ichor debuff again ; avoid gathering it accidentally, as there is just a burst window of 30 seconds to push the boss hard (HC only)
  • Void Miasma: the Tentacle of Drest´agath appendage add has a constant cloud in a 12 yard radius around it ; this means moderate damage to any player within it every 3 seconds ; also a line of side effect ; for that, all melee dps should enter the Void Miasma and kill the add asap ; for that 1 or 2 mobility healers should also enter (HC only)
  • Mutterings of Betrayal: the Maw of Drest´agath add has a permanent aura ; at 4 stacks one player will gain the Betrayed debuff which means „hostile to allies“ until the end of the fight ; for that, everyone should avoid being within 10 yards of these adds at any given time ; ranged dps should prioritize these adds asap ; there is also a chance to quickly heal this player to remove the debuff (HC only)

Il´gynoth, Corruption Reborn

P1

Tanks:

  • make sure that no other players are hit by the Eye of N´Zoth frontal beam directed towards you ; this is mostly easily done by standing at the far side of the area the raid is currently fighting in

Raid:

  • Corruptor´s Gaze: kite the beams into low traffic areas, ideally around the edges of the room or over areas previously covered by beams
  • Touch of the Corruptor: on a timer ; 2 random non-tank players are being charmed for 1 minute ; debuff is removed when afflicted players are brought to 30% hp ; ranged dps should switch instantly, melee should pay attention due to spreading ; when back, the players have to be healed up  and dispelled instantly (HC only)

P2

Raid:

  • Organ of Corruption: the raid should move to an organ and kill it asap
  • Pumping Blood: interrupt the cast at all costs ; one small team of interrupters should move to each organ that is not being killed this phase
  • Cursed Blood: move away from allies, so that there is some place to stack
  • Blood of Ny´alotha: kite, cc and kill any adds asap
  • Recurring Nightmare: dispel players afflicted due to melee hits by adds

Later phases

Raid:

  • keep kiting and killing the blood adds that spawn
  • stand around the area where they are going to fight the next Organ of Corruption

Vexiona

P1

Tanks:

  • Twilight Breath: face the boss away from others to avoid hitting them
  • Despair: tank has to be healthy all the time, so healers have to make sure, as this will reduce the raid damage when it expires
  • Void Ascendant: face it away from the raid when it casts Annihilation ; face it towards Cultists adds to damage them
  • Gift of the Void: tanks should pick up the orb and use the Annilhation extra action button to reset their Void Corruption stacks

Raid:

  • Encroaching Shadows: everyone should be loosely spread to avoid splashing damage onto each other when applied ; move to the edge of the room when afflicted to place Shadowy Residue pools in a low traffic area
  • interrupt the Ritual add and nuke down all adds asap
  • Sinister Soulcarver: additional Cultist add type ; free from all root and slow effect and will teleport to a player´s location ; tank should be the one closest to the add ; stun to interrupt cast is also possible (HC only)

P2

Raid:

  • Twilight Decimator: keep an eye on the boss and dodge it
  • continue to interrupt and kill Cultist adds
  • Shadowy Residue: continue to place pools in low traffic areas

P3

Raid:

  • Terrifying Presence: stay within 6 yards of another player to avoid the haste reduction
  • Heart of Darkness: move at least 20 yards away from the boss when being cast
  • finish off any adds upon transitioning
  • Shadowy Residue: continue to place pools in low traffic areas
  • Twilight Breath: continue to face the boss away from allies
  • Desolation: random target ; 50% low effect but also huge raid wide damage and 30 stacks of Void Corruption split between all players within 10 yard radius ; for that, everyone has to stack asap to split the damage ; after the cast, players should get back to previous positions ; healers should use healing cds for each Desolation cast, especially towards the end of the fight as raid has got much stacks now (HC only)

Ra-den

P1

Tanks:

  • Nullifying Strike: should taunt off one another after each strike

Raid:

  • need to kill an essence orb each time they spawn, alternating between Essence of Vita and Essence of Void

Void Empowered

  • Instability Exposure: a single player without IE should soak the Unstable Void missile whilst facing the next missile towards an ideal loaction
  • Unleashed Void: heal off the healing absorb at the beginning of the phase
  • Void Hunter: kill the add asap, while helping stacking on the player targeted by Void Collapse

Vita Empowered

  • Unstable Vita: stand next to the boss to avoid accidentally gaining it ; have players without IE bounce the Unstable Vita debuff behind the raid ; make sure that two UV participating players are furthest from one another
  • Crackling Stalker: kill the add asap to reduce the number of Chain Lightning spells

P2

Tanks:

  • tanks should be 50% or lower when hit with Decaying Strike to reduce the damage dealt by Decaying Wound


Raid:

  • stack near the boss to allow healers to efficiently heal the Ruin damage
  • Void Erruption: dodge the zones before returning back to the boss
  • Charged Bonds: move away from your chained partner when afflicted
  • Lingering Energies: Kill the boss before he gains too much stacks

Carapace of N´Zoth

All phases:

  • players need to keep their Sanity from dropping to 0
  • players gain sanity by standing near Wrathion, or using their extra action button in P1 and P2

Fury of N´Zoth

Tanks:

  • Black Scar: tanks should taunt off of one another when their debuff drops, usually after 2 Mandible Slam casts

Raid:

  • Mental Decay: players will passively lose Sanity due to randomly appliied debuff
  • Madness Bomb: spread 10+ yards from allies when afflicted
  • Fragment of Sanity: quickly damage through the Adaptive Membrane to gain it

P1

Raid:

  • Growth-Covered Tentacle: avoid the slam loaction and then kill the Horrific Hemorrhages
  • Adaptive Antigen: cc and kill these adds after tentacle despawns
  • Gaze of Madness: half way between each Growth-Covered Tentacle spawn ; does not need to be tanked and will simply spam cast Breed Madness ; do not interrupt at all costs, just nuke it down asap ; Fury of N´Zoth should be tanked next to the add to ensure cleave damage (HC only)

P2

Raid:

  • Mycelial Cysts: travel along a path together, clearing patches by damaging
  • Synthesis Growths: kill them along the path ; once all have been defeated, use the extra action button to return to the start and go along the other path ; once both paths have been cleared, jump down and engage the boss once again
  • Eternal Darkness: dealing damage and removing sanity from all players
  • make sure to visit Wrathion during this phase to restore your sanity if it gets low

P3

Raid:

  • Thrashing Tentacle: dodge the slam zones marked by shadows
  • Insanity Bomb: all players targeted have to spread
  • Nightmare Antigen: avoid killing adds during this phase until they have been given the Adaptive Membrane buff
  • Fragment of Sanity: Wrathion not helping out any more, so this is the only way to get sanity back
  • Infinite Darkness: after casting there is a large zone underneath a random player ; so the raid should move away from the zone in a single direction ; healer should put up healing cds for every cast ; the zone will despawn until next cast has started

N´Zoth, the Corruptor

All phases

  • players need to avoid letting their Sanity drop to 0
  • players can use their Azeroth´s Radiance extra action button to regain Sanity

P1 Mind Realm

Tanks:

  • tank Psychus near Exposed Synapses, so that he gains a 50% damage increase via Synaptic Shock when they die
  • Anguish: move Psychus along the edge of the room to place the zones in ideal locations

Raid

  • dps should focus their damage on the Exposed Synapses until the boss reaches 5 stacks
  • Probe Mind: all players should attempt to stay spread 5 yards to minimize incoming damage
  • move back to floating body when Psychus dies and click on it to leave the Mind Realm before Collapsing Mindscape triggers
  • Manifest Madness: kill Psychus before he gains full energy and casts it

P2

Tanks:

  • tank the Basher Tentacles

Raid:

  • Shattered Ego: damage the boss whilst its afflicted
  • Corrupted Neurons: damage it to clear the path between the boss and the wall
  • Mindgrasps: either stand next to the boss or next to the edges of the room when it is being cast
  • Paranoia: spread out before ; let the paired players stand on top of one another whilst avoiding all other players

Tentacles

Raid:

  • dps should focus on killing these first
  • Corrupted Minds: interrupt it ; dispel any Corrupted Mind debuffs that accidentally go through
  • Spike Tentacles: lowest priority, via multi-dotting and cleave
  • Corrupted Viscera: all tentacles explode with it when they die

Mind Realm – P2

Raid:

  • send half of the raid into the Mindgate (has to be different players each time on HC mode)
  • Flames of Insanity: dodge the red swirly circles
  • Tread Lightly: avoid excessive movement when afflicted

P3

Raid:

  • continue to deal with Paranoia and Mindgrasp in the same way as in P2
  • Anguish: The entire raid stack their pools on a single point when Evoke Anguish expires ; the raid should move around each time pools grow too close
  • Stupefying Glare: avoid the beams (4 beams in HC mode)
  • Harvest Thoughts: have several high Sanity players soak it and kill it asap
